Bonnie is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in German and Education along with a teacher certification. She also did post-graduate work at the University of Freiburg, Germany, and holds a lifelong guest teacher certification for the state of Washington. In 2005 Bonnie obtained her Washington State Realtor’s License and since then has been continuing her real estate education to set herself apart and exceed her clients’ expectations. In 2006, she earned the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation, a prestigious title that only 22% of all realtors earn. In 2007 she added the ASR (Accredited Seller Representative) and the ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative) designations, as well as the Accredited Home-Staging Specialist designation and Real Estate eCertified designation. In addition, she has completed coursework in 1031 real estate exchanges, foreclosures and short sales, marketing and technology, negotiating skills, real estate law and practices, psychology of buying and selling, and various title and escrow classes.
During the years that Bonnie has been selling real estate, she’s earned the awards: Rookie of the Year, Top Sales Person of the Month, Leading Edge Society (the top 9% of her company’s agents worldwide), and was among her company’s Top 15 area agents in 2007. She has experience in residential re-sale and new construction, waterfront and fine homes, multi-family homes, town homes, condominiums and vacant land, and has had several transactions that were either short sales or bank foreclosures. Bonnie has lived and worked in Kitsap County for over 20 years. Her background is in teaching German and English as a Second Language, and she also spent many years volunteering and subbing for the Central Kitsap Schools. She was also the marketing director for 2 medical clinics in Kitsap, and also spent many years as a stay at home mom while her 3 boys were young. Bonnie has been extremely active in the community and in addition to schools, she has volunteered for the Angelcare Breast Cancer Foundation, Relay for Life, Danskin Tri-athalon for breast cancer, the “Four-Legged Angel” program that brings dogs to nursing homes, was a member of Leadership Kitsap class of 2007, a member of the Kitsap Sun editorial board, and Harrison Hospital spokesperson. Being involved in the local community has enhanced Bonnie’s real estate career by increasing her professional network and allowing her to become more knowledgeable of neighborhoods, politics, schools, businesses, tourism, health care and local issues. She is a great resource of information for all those homebuyers relocating to Kitsap County and seeking homes in the Bainbridge Island, Belfair, Bremerton, Hansville, Kingston, Port Orchard, Poulsbo, Port Ludlow, Seabeck and Silverdale areas.
